Jennifer Yuh Nelson (born 1972) is a American director, best known for directing Kung Fu Panda 2. Nelson is the first woman to solely direct an animated feature from a major Hollywood studio. She won an Annie Award for Best Storyboarding in an Animated Feature Production for directing the opening for Kung Fu Panda. Dreamworks' Jeffrey Katzenberg approached Jennifer Yuh about directing the sequel to Kung Fu Panda. She hadn't expressed interest in directing the animated film but the film's producers felt she was the right choice in continuing Po's story.
