WWII American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss, who served during the Battle of Okinawa, refuses to kill people and becomes the first Conscientious Objector in American history to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.
After ten controversy-filled years, Mel Gibson returns to the director’s chair in this biographical war film, based on the experiences of Desmond Doss (Andrew Garfield), a pacifistic combat medic who saved the lives of 75 men during the battle of Hacksaw Ridge, despite never firing a weapon.
