Lovable and friendly, the trolls love to play around. But one day, a mysterious giant shows up to end the party. Poppy, the optimistic leader of the Trolls, and her polar opposite, Branch, must embark on an adventure that takes them far beyond the only world they’ve ever known.

What do you get when you combine a jukebox musical with a beloved toy franchise, then add sparkly visuals that have a similar sensory effect to getting your head jammed in a candy floss machine? Well, we got Trolls (2016), an animated musical from DreamWorks that charmed some kids, aggravated a few parents, but in the end was a wholly average, totally harmless and, at times, quite fun affair.
